Alexandra obtained her physiotherapy degree from St George's University in London, UK in 2014. After her first post working with adults in a hospital setting, she moved to the community paediatric department. There she worked with children and young people with a huge variety of conditions, from Cerebral Palsy, Autism and Muscular Dystrophy to Downs syndrome and musculoskeletal conditions. Her job enabled her to work in a variety of settings; clinics, schools, local gyms, swimming pools and the park (when the rainy weather of England permitted!)
Alexandra is very passionate about her job and loves working with children; they teach her something new every day! She particularly loves finding ways to maximise participation and access for children and young people with different abilities, whether it is to being able to take part and enjoy a leisure activity or becoming more independent with activities of daily living. She loves to problem solve together with the child as they often have the best solutions!
Alexandra moved to Montreal end of 2018 and is very excited to join the dynamic team of therapists at Kiddo Active!
During her spare time she enjoys running, cooking, learning French and exploring her new home town with her camera in her hand.
