Ava completed her bachelor’s with honours at McGill university with a major in Kinesiology in 2019. While awaiting answers for graduate school, she worked as a Kinesiologist for Olympe Inc. This experience showed her that she wanted to help people more than the scope of practice of a Kinesiologist. She then proceeded with completing her master’s degree at university of Ottawa in Occupational Therapy and graduated Summer 2021 with a leadership medal. She is a member of the OEQ and CAOT since.
Ava has worked in daycares since she was 17 years old with groups of 6 kids independently and up to 20 with a co-worker. She has also tutored many children in a variety of classes and a variety of ages all throughout her post-secondary education. She has always enjoyed working with children and helping them learn new skills. When she completed her placement at the Children’s Hospital of Eastern Ontario (CHEO), it became even more evident that a career in pediatrics as an Occupational Therapist was where she wanted to make a difference in the world.
On her spare time, she enjoys working out and sports such as soccer and tennis. Ava loves music and dancing and enjoys sharing those skills and the benefits of them in therapy. With a joy of traveling and learning about the world and different cultures, Ava brings her curiosity and passion into her work as well.
