Led by an Occupational Therapist | Ages 8-13 | 6 Weeks
Does your child love the idea of creating delicious treats while also developing crucial life skills? Our Cooking and Baking Club, led by a certified Occupational Therapist, is the perfect blend of fun and therapy. Designed for children ages 8-13, this 6-week program is tailored to improve fine motor skills, sensory processing, and executive functioning—all in the comfort of a kitchen!
Each week, your child will learn essential kitchen skills such as chopping, mixing, measuring, and working safely with heat, all while exploring a variety of food textures, tastes, and techniques. They’ll engage in meaningful, hands-on activities that promote sensory exploration, coordination, and confidence. Our OT will provide personalized guidance to help your child become more independent in the kitchen, all while addressing any sensory sensitivities or motor challenges.
The final week culminates in a celebratory cooking project where kids will plan, prepare, and serve a meal to their family members, showcasing the skills they’ve gained throughout the program. Whether your child is a budding chef or just beginning their culinary journey, they’ll walk away with valuable life skills, newfound confidence, and a sense of accomplishment.
