Pursing a research master’s/doctorate degree in Rehabilitation Science at the Université de Montréal with a focus on adaptive sports and social participation
Karina completed her integrated Bachelor-Master’s degree in Occupational therapy from the Université de Montréal in 2018. Throughout her previous job experiences, Karina has had the opportunity to work with children in day camp and high school settings. She has also had the opportunity to develop her skills and knowledge during her two internships in the field of Pediatrics in Quebec (Local Community Service Center) and abroad (Professional Child Development Associates - in California). She also worked on a research project with the main goal of exploring the benefits of Surf Therapy for children with special needs in collaboration with a non-profit California-based organization. Her internships and her research experience have confirmed her desire to practice in Pediatrics. She is very proud to join the Kiddo Active team! In her free time, Karina likes to spend time with friends and family, engage in sport activities (stand-up paddling, yoga, running, hiking) and cook.
