Melany Aiko Mitrasca
Occupational Therapist
Melany completed her undergraduate and master’s degree in occupational therapy at Université de Montréal in 2024.
She grew up a gymnast and still loves being in a gymnastics gym. In fact, she loves it so much that she still coaches a competitive team three days a week! While Melany always knew she wanted to work in pediatrics, coaching confirmed her want to work in this field to help children achieve their goals and dreams. Melany continued gaining experience working with children as a gymnastics coach, an aid for a kiddo with a moderate intellectual deficiency, and as an assistant OT at Kiddo Active while in university.
During her studies, she had the opportunity to take two advanced pediatrics courses. She also completed two placements with the pediatric population: one in a specialized high school and another in a pediatric occupational therapy clinic.
In her spare time, Melany loves to read (mostly fantasy books), play video games with her friends, and do handstands! She is excited to continue to be a part of the Kiddo Active Team and to support children and their families to learn, play and grow through activities they enjoy!
