Movement & Regulation Club — Registration Now Open!
A fun, therapist-led group for kids who are ready to move, connect, and thrive.
Kiddo Active Therapy is thrilled to introduce our brand new Movement & Regulation Club at our Pointe-Claire location! Designed and facilitated by our Occupational Therapist Alisha, this exciting small-group program combines the power of movement with evidence-based regulation strategies to help children feel more confident, calm, and connected — both in and out of the therapy room.
What Is the Movement & Regulation Club?
Self-regulation is one of the most important — and most challenging — skills a child can develop. It affects how they manage emotions, transition between activities, focus at school, interact with friends, and respond to the world around them. When children struggle with regulation, it can impact every area of their daily life.
The Movement & Regulation Club was created to address this in a way that is engaging, practical, and fun. Using a sensory-motor approach grounded in Occupational Therapy principles, Alisha will guide a small group of children through structured movement experiences designed to help them understand their bodies, recognize their sensory needs, and build a personal toolkit of strategies they can actually use.
Because it's a group format, children also benefit from the added dimension of practicing these skills alongside peers — learning to co-regulate, take turns, communicate, and support one another in a safe and predictable environment.
What Will Sessions Look Like?
Each one-hour session is thoughtfully structured to balance active movement with guided regulation practice. Children can expect:

Why Choose a Group Format?
Individual therapy builds foundational skills — but group settings are where children get to put those skills into practice in real life. Working alongside peers creates natural opportunities for co-regulation, peer modeling, and social learning that simply cannot be replicated one-on-one. Children often feel more motivated, more engaged, and more proud of their progress when they experience it together.
The small group size of 4–5 children maximum ensures that every child receives close attention and that the environment remains calm, predictable, and therapeutically supportive throughout.
