Yanna obtained her Master of Science in Occupational Therapy in 2011 from McGill University. Upon graduation, she worked in adult physical medicine before starting her pediatric career in 2014 as an Occupational Therapist at the Montreal Children’s Hospital. There, she was part of many different multidisciplinary teams. She learned to be adaptable and flexible as she had the opportunity to work with different professionals. Yanna is passionate about feeding issues in the pediatric population. She was part of the Pediatric Feeding Clinic for two years and helped develop educational groups for parents. She also has experience with neurodevelopment and feeding for infants as she worked in the neonatal intensive care unit. She has also worked with the multidisciplinary team of the Brain Development and Behavioral clinic to evaluate young children with a variety of developmental issues and direct them to appropriate resources. Yanna is now looking forward to be joining the Kiddo Active team in order to continue her pediatric practice while offering her knowledge and experience to help patients and their parents achieve their goals and optimize the child’s daily functioning. Yanna describes herself as creative as some of her interests include painting; arts and crafts, cooking and baking. Physical activity is an important part of her life as she enjoys boxing and body-fit training. She believes physical activity is an important part of living a balanced life as well as spending time with loved ones and doing meaningful activities.
