An outdoor summer intensive program aimed to build your child’s motor coordination, self-regulation, confidence and social skills. The club will be organized and led by an occupational therapist with the assistance of occupational therapy students and volunteers. A Kiddo Active physiotherapist and speech therapist will be consulting with the club each week in order to provide additional recommendations and support.
Nature Club will offer therapeutic and playful activities to support each participant’s sensory-motor and social development through natural playful interaction with peers and the environment. Intensive therapeutic services will be offered through nature exploration, fort building, water play, loose parts play, open-ended creative activities and many opportunities for unstructured free play.
At the beginning of each week we will set therapeutic goals for each child. At the end of the second week each family will be provided with a summary of the activities that were completed, the child’s progress throughout the week, as well as ideas on how the family can use the outdoors and nature to continue providing support throughout the rest of the summer.
