Kiddo Active Therapy is excited to announce the 4 edition of our Handwriting Club! If your child is having trouble tracing or copying basic pre-writing shapes, if they complain of fatigue or discomfort while writing, if they struggle with holding a pencil, if they have trouble writing letters fluidly and clearly or if they have a hard time writing on the lines, this group may be the right fit for them! Three different age groups will be offered, each having content tailored to the children’s developmental level. This club has been designed to use creative multisensory activities and structured teaching techniques, with inspiration from the Handwriting Without Tears program, to help children develop the foundational skills necessary for successful handwriting development.
Groups will be led by an occupational therapists. Each session will begin with a gross motor and fine motor warm up, followed by guided writing activities and will conclude with a 10-15 minute overview with parents/caregivers for carryover of lessons in the home and school environments.
