Brigitte MacAuley
Occupational Therapist / Director of Therapeutic Services
Brigitte earned her Master’s degree In Occupational Therapy from Dalhousie University in Halifax, Nova Scotia. She also holds a Bachelor’s degree in Neuroscience, with a sociology minor in critical health studies. Her time in school and volunteer work abroad led to a passion for understanding how the brain impacts development, and a desire to provide support to as many families as possible.
During her career as an Occupational Therapist, Brigitte has completed additional training to better understand sensory needs, regulation challenges, and trauma responses. She is completing the training required to become an Ayres Sensory Integration certified therapist.
Brigitte’s previous experience working with children in sports (hockey, rugby), camps, and in reading programs, led to her passion for facilitating many Kiddo Active clubs. She has helped to implement the Nature Club program, Skate Club, Outdoor Social Skills club Handwriting Club, and pioneered the clinic’s Cooking Club!
Outside of work, she loves spending time with her family and dogs, exercising, reading, DIY projects, crafting and baking.
Brigitte feels privileged to be a part of the Kiddo Active team. She hopes to be able to help each child identify their strengths and realize their goals. In her role as Director of Therapeutic Services, Brigitte thrives to ensure our therapists have access to intensive training, and families receive the best possible care.
