During her master’s program, she completed several clinical placements in pediatric rehabilitation including the Kiddo Active team and the Montreal Children’s Hospital where she worked with children in the Developmental Coordination Disorder clinic, the neonatal intensive care unit (NICU), neonatal follow-up clinic and rheumatology clinic. She also earned her bachelor’s degree in Psychology from McGill University where she was involved in research at the Perceptual Neuroscience Lab for Autism and Development.
Elisa has always had a passion for working with children and knew early on that pediatrics was the path for her. Over the past several years, she has worked with children and adolescents across various settings including summer camps and as a teaching assistant at Summit School where she also volunteered in the OT department. Elisa believes that every child is unique and recognizes the value in highlighting a child’s strengths to overcome their challenges. She welcomes opportunities to collaborate with families and appreciates the therapeutic value of play to help children reach their goals and engage in meaningful activities. She is motivated to continue learning and to grow and develop a career in pediatric therapy with the Kiddo Active team!
In her spare time, Elisa enjoys being able to spend time with her friends and family. She has always loved adventure and the outdoors; she enjoys being in nature, going on hikes and travelling.
