Does you child like being physically active but finds it difficult to access mainstream groups? Then our Kiddo Explorers group is just the place for you child! This club is for children with Autism to be physically active and learn new skills in a setting that suits their needs to maximize participation. Each week we will introduce games and activities using a specific theme, expect lots of fun! The sessions will be child led but with structured group play incorporated to help each child to learn new skills and experience being part of a group. 

The club will be run by a physiotherapist and occupational therapist and will be small to enable your child to experience group play whilst allowing the therapists  more dedicated time with your child.

SKILLS LEARNED IN THIS GROUP

• Socializing in a group
•  Communication
•  Following instructions
•  Turn taking
•  Team work
•  GMS: Running, jumping, climbing, balance
  FMS/sensory regulation: strategies to calm down or get moving, tool use (Ex. crayons, utensils), lacing, bilateral coordination

THE GROUP

• Group 1: 4-7 year olds ; Group 2: 8 - 12 year olds
• 1x PT and 1x OT with 3-4 children

The reason for the small group size will enable for these children to experience group play whilst allowing the therapists to meet the needs of each individual child

$375 for 6 sessions
Receipts will be provided for insurance or income tax purposes

Registration:
Registration will be accepted by email, mail or in person. To reserve your spot 50% of the payment is required with the remaining 50% 30 days prior to program start date.
 
Receipts will be provided at the last session.
 
Checks can be made out to Kiddo Active Therapy. Credit card and debit payments can be made at the clinic or by phone.
 
Policy:
 Kiddo Active Therapy cancellation policy for groups:

• In the case of cancellation prior to the registration deadline of 30 days prior to your chosen program, a full refund will be granted.
• In the case of cancellation past the registration deadline, a refund of 50% of the fees will be granted.
• In the case of cancellation after the first session, no refund will be granted, unless the therapists determine that the group is not the right fit for the child.​
